Rent Relief

Eviction and foreclosures are a stressor among students experiencing financial instability, as a physical home and shelter are essential for not just school work, but safety, security, and personal development. If you find yourself requiring aid, please refer to the programs below that provide other short-term or long-term relief. Note: it is best to apply to multiple programs in case your application or request for one is denied.

Provides access to essential needs items and potential rental assistance for low-income individuals who are unable to work for at least 90 days due to a physical and/or mental incapacity located in Washington State. The program can include the following:

  •  limited rent and utility assistance

  • move-in costs

  • personal health and hygiene items

  • cleaning supplies

  • transportation assistance.

  • Those eligible are individuals:

    •  who are unable to work for at least 90 days due to a physical/mental incapacity

    • are at least 18 years old or, if under 18, legally emancipated or a member of a married couple

    • meet income and resource requirements

    • meet citizenship / alien status requirements.

Has developed a list of financial resources for Washington consumers impacted by the Coronavirus. RESOURCES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Unemployment assistance

  • mortgage assistance

  • paying rent

  • paying credit cards

  • cash food

  • medical assistance

  • utility assistance

short-term emergency loans.​

Offers rent assistance and eviction prevention through funds for individual tenants, landlords, and other properties. Assistance is available to those who are at risk of eviction or displacement due to illness, loss of income, and/or unemployment. The program will launch in April 2021, thus be sure to fill out the interest form.

Works with cities, legislatures, and the governor to push for direct financial support for renters and housing providers. Click here for the current rental assistance programs the government offers, and be sure to check the site regularly for any updates regarding state mandates on rent and eviction prevention.

ST. VINCENT PAUL’S RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Offers emergency funds for both rent and utility bills. The program also offers other support such as diapers, food, beds/mattresses, and other basic needs you can mention on the application. Fill out the request form linked above, and in case you are left pending, contact their helpline center at (206) 767-6449.

Offer rent and utility bill assistance to any family living in the Issaquah School District. Fill out their application and be prepared to submit documentation for your aid. If internet access conflicts in filling out the online application, be sure to call or email their office for further assistance.

Offers rent assistance for one month in case you have received an eviction notice or are experiencing financial instability.
