Mentoring for Youth
Having a mentor to guide you, give advice, and be your advocate has shown to help students excel academically, grow in confidence, and grow independence. Below are free resources for obtaining a mentorship program, all of which aid low-income and physically displaced youth.
An ISD-associated program that connects students who need social, emotional, or academic support with dedicated mentors who foster, hope, resilience, and self-advocacy. Mentoring is available for all students from K-12 for one hour a week.
A program that offers Black children in low-income families and unstable communities social, emotional, and professional academic support through mentorship and community-based programs.
