Stable Locations

To ensure student safety, security, and the ability for stability, we compiled a list of local organizations providing aid for students in need of a safe location. If you ever believe your safety is at risk and find no place to go to, these emergency locations not only provide warmth and security but additional resources for future prevention and empowerment in your hardship.

A well-known and loved organization for any youth to access during the day. Of the many youth resources, here are some that may be beneficial during times of location instability: free access to food and drinks, engaging and distracting activities to pass time and a comforting place to hang out and rest up during the day. During COVID-19, there is limited capacity, so secure a place during the day here. Located walking distance from downtown Issaquah with accessibility to bus routes.

A day center with immediate resources, emergency shelters for nightly stays, and long-term/extended stay shelters with a comforting, secure environment. The organization also includes programs to aid with permanent housing and any necessities needed for long-term security. Has two locations: one in Bellevue, and one in Kirkland, both accessed by bus routes.

Two emergency shelter programs for youth ages 7-17 OR 18-24 years of age. Youth Haven offers short-term emergency placement for youth 7-17 years of age while also offering counseling and housing referral services for long-term security and stability. For youth ages 18-24 years of age, The Landing is an available shelter near Redmond, offering basic needs such as food, hygiene care, medical care, counseling, and more, while also aid in transitional housing and long-term security. Friends of Youth offers these shelters are two different locations, with Youth Haven being located in Downtown Issaquah and The Landing being located in Redmond.

Transitional and long-term housing. The transitional housing program offers housing for two years while giving aid for permanent housing, and the long-term housing program permits for a longer stay. If your family is in need of short-term housing, Hopelink also provides access to their emergency shelters with access to transitional and permanent housing. If your family is encountering eviction, Hopelink provides counselors to aid in financial assistance for eviction prevention and the first month’s rent in case of a move. Located in Bellevue, Bothell, Duvall, and Redmond. If these locations are out of your reach, Hopelink also holds regional access points in Seattle, Bellevue, Federal Way, and Renton to have access to their shelter locations.

A drop-in center for youth to enter during the day, offering services such as food, hygiene care, comfort and relaxation, guidance, and a secure place during the day. Arcadia also offers an emergency shelter for an overnight stay and permanent housing support. A list of locations are provided at the bottom of the linked page, some of which include:
